Pearl Jam is a rock band originally from Seattle, United States of America, and is considered one of the most popular and influential 1990s. They, along with Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone, Alice in Chains and Mudhoney, helped popularize the grunge movement in the early 90's. Pearl Jam is one of the few grunge bands that remained active until today, even after the end of his other contemporary bands.

The band has an unusual mark: during the Binaural tour, launched no fewer than 72 double CDs, each bringing in a full concert tour. Their attitudes in defense of fans, such as a lawsuit against the company Ticketmaster (which monopolizes the market for ticket sales on American soil) have become landmarks. In the case against the distributor of tickets, the band demanded in court that the company reduced its earnings in order to reduce the price of tickets for their concerts, so fans were benefited. In addition to this engagement and political causes of humanitarian, Pearl Jam became one of the most idolized and respected bands in rock history by selling up to date about 30 million albums in the United States,  60 Millions throughout the world and being the band record live albums
